Charlotte's Day

Feeding therapy is such a paramount part of many of our patients' journeys. There are many tools and tips that our speech therapists provide families to aid with feeding. Today we want to introduce Charlotte's Day, an organization that provides specialized high chairs to assist with feeding time and therapy. Unintentional injuries are the leading cause of emergency department visits in the United States. Over 9 million children are seen each year in the ED for unintentional injuries. Many of these injuries could be prevented if proper safety rules were known and followed. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s website is a great resource for information on child injury prevention topics. Their safe child index can be found at https://www.cdc.gov/safechild/index.html.
