Coronavirus Information

As healthcare providers it is important for us to stay up to date with ongoing issues that may affect our own health and how we care for our patients. With the news of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak spreading, Viva Pediatrics is committed to ensuring our staff and patients remain safe. Although the way the coronavirus is transmitted has not been confirmed, it is believed to be spread between people who had “close contact” with one another. This could loosely be described as someone being coughed or sneezed upon. Unlike the flu, the coronavirus is a pneumonia-like infection. The virus symptoms manifest as a mild to severe respiratory illness with fever, cough, and difficulty breathing. The CDC believes at this time that symptoms may appear in as few as two days or as long as 14 days after exposure.
