Coming Together: From Our VIVA Family to Yours
Reflecting on What Matters Most
As the holidays draw near and the world begins to glow with lights and warmth, we’re reminded that this season is ultimately about connection. In pediatric healthcare, we see the heart of togetherness every day—in shared triumphs, comforting routines, and the love that guides families through even the most challenging moments.
Honoring the Strength of Our Families
Caring for a medically fragile child is a journey filled with courage, patience, and deep devotion. The holidays can magnify both the joys and the stresses of this path. We want to honor the incredible families who continue to inspire us. Your resilience fuels our passion, and your trust means everything to us. Thank you for allowing us into your homes and into your children’s lives.
Standing Beside You, Season After Season
Our mission remains the same through every holiday and every ordinary day in between: to support your family with compassion, skilled care, and unwavering dedication. Whether you’re celebrating big or finding comfort in simple, quiet traditions, our team is here to ensure your child receives the care they need so you can focus on precious moments together.
Celebrating the Heart of Our Team
We are endlessly grateful for our nurses, therapists, aides, coordinators, and staff who put their hearts in everything they do. Their commitment brings comfort, confidence, and hope to the families we serve—especially during this meaningful time of year.

A Day at the PPECC
This month, we asked our valued PPECC team members to describe a day at the PPECC. Here's what they shared with us:
What Does a Day at the PPECC Look Like?
Children enrolled in our PPECC, experience a full day of coordinated nursing care, therapeutic support, structured developmental activities, and social engagement. After morning assessments, patients participate in individualized therapy sessions, sensory and educational play, group interaction, and wellness routines such as medication administration and nutrition support. Our multidisciplinary team ensures each child’s day is safe, meaningful, and tailored to their unique needs.
What Safety Measure Do We Take to Ensure Patient Safety?
Safety is woven into every moment of our day. Our nurses complete thorough health checks, monitor vital signs, administer medications with double-verification, and follow strict infection-control routines. The center is secured with locked entrances, emergency drills, and equipment checks. From safe feeding practices to individualized care plans, every child is watched over with intention, compassion, and expert eyes — because their wellbeing is our top priority.
What We do to Promote Learning at the PPECC
Learning blooms here every day! Our team weaves playful education into the daily routine with our “Giggle’s Picks” program — each month we highlight a special letter, number, shape, ASL sign, and color to help spark curiosity and developmental growth. Through story time, hands-on activities, art projects, and child-led exploration, we nurture each child’s ability to learn at their own pace. Every moment becomes an opportunity to grow, giggle, and discover something new.
